ABOUT US

Our business story started in 2021, but our personal story started more than 30 years before this.

Jen and I met at a boarding school deep in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. After finishing school, we both went our separate ways - Jen travelled the world and eventually ended up in Switzerland, where she has been living for the last 20 years. She has a range of experience in many different industries, including travel, service and online shopping.

I went on to study law and then started my first business in 1996. In 2005, I founded one of the first online shops in South Africa and am still involved in the business almost 20 years later. I moved to Switzerland just before COVID and had the opportunity to establish contact with Jen again.

By chance, we saw a post by one of the founders of Veldskoen, Nic Latouf. Their local business in South Africa had taken a bit of a knock during COVID and they were looking to expand their operations by offering exclusive distribution agreements in various territories worldwide.

We jumped at the opportunity and are currently the exclusive distribution partners for both Switzerland and Austria. At the moment, we sell the shoes online, but we do have a showroom in Aadorf and clients are welcome to visit us at any time (please contact us before to arrange a time). We also have a few retail display partners and run an affiliate programme. Please feel free to contact us for more information.

In 2023, we added the Boot and Rally brand to our range of products. Boot and Rally is a family run business from Pertoria (South Africa) and they manufacture a unique range of quality leather bags and day luggage. We fell in love with the brand, the products and the team behind Boot and Rally, and a range of their products can now be purchased on our site (a dedicated Boot and Rally site will be launching later in 2025).

A large part of our business philosophy revolves around collaboration - with our customers, brand ambassadors and local businesses. We are very grateful to the many people that we have already met and spoken to - for the orders already placed and for the offers to help create brand awareness for our fledgling business. We trust that as our business starts to grow, we can pay it forward.
